NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY - ADMISSIONS



National Institute of Fashion Technology was established in 1986, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Over the years this institute has established itself as a premier institute for learning in Design, Management and Technology. It has 15 campuses spread all over India offering various under graduate and post graduate programmes. NIFT has recently announced its admission schedule for 2014. The admission to these institutes are based on an entrance test/ group discussion/ personal interview. A brief synopsis of the notification is given below

Max age as on 01.10.2013 is 23 years; relaxable by 5 years for candidates of Schedule castes/ Schedule tribes/ Differently abled persons

CDS is an entrance exam is a gateway to serve the prestigious Indian Defence Sector (Army, Air Force & Navy). The Examination paves way for inspiring candidates to get into the following Academys/ School

AFA – Degree (with Physics and Maths at +2 level) or Degree in Engineering

IMA - Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.1996
INA - Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.1996
AFA  - Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and not later than 01.01.1996
OTA (Men) – Married or unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.1996
OTA (Women) - Unmarried women, issueless widows, issueless divorcees who have not remarried born not earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.1996

Selection consist of written test (with negative marking) and interview for intelligence and personality test

For IMA, INA & AFA
English, General Knowledge, Mathematics - 2 hours for each subject  and maximum of 100 marks for each subject

For OTA
English, General Knowledge,  - 2 hours for each subject  and  maximum of 100 marks for each subject
