Chennai To Mahabalipuram
Mammallapuram is the place where the famous rock cut temples, built by the Pallavas, are situated. Called as the Seven Pagodas, these temples have been constructed along the sea coast. The present day name of Mamallapuram is Mahabalipuram.
Mahabalipuram is around 60 kms from Chennai and attracts lots of domestic and foreign tourists daily. Enroute Mahabalipuram there are lot of places with tourist intrest such as Dakshanchitra,Muthukadu, Crocodile bank etc. Tourists find this route as an ideal journey for a one day tour. The coaches start from Chennai TTDC office at 9.00, 9.30, 10.00 and 11.00 am and return back at 4.00, 5.00, 5.30 and 6.00 pm. The fare is 190 rupees.
