Most of the services are paid monthly. Citizens always find difficulty in getting their monthly statements (bills) in time to the correct address, to enable them to make payment promptly. Often they land up paying their bills after the pay by date, thereby paying late fees.

To sort out this issue, BSNL chennai has introduced e bill and e payment, through which you can view your bill online and also make your payment online. To do this log on to http://billchn.bsnl.co.in/index.html . If you are new user of this feature register yourself by clicking on link new user. Provide all the details required including a user id and password of your choice. Once you have registered, login using the user id and password registered.Click on Landline bill online payment on the right side of the screen. (click on the image to get enlarged view)

You will see the e bill of your phone. Check all the details of the bills. If everything is correct, then click "I wish to pay online" button on the right side of the screen. (click on the image to get enlarged view)

When you click this you will see the terms or conditions for paying online. Read through all the instructions and click "I accept" if you accept the conditions. Then you will be taken to the screen, where you have to choose your mode of payment such as debit cards, credit cards, or internet banking. If you choose the internet banking the list of banks with which you would like do internet banking will be available. Then choose the bank and proceed.(click on the image to get enlarged view)

This will take you the payment gateway where you have to complete all the bank payment formalities. If the payment is successful then you will receive a confirmation by SMS on the mobile no (if you had provided in the registration).

That's it. You have paid your BSNL bill online!
