Chennai Corporation is the oldest municipal institution in India established in 1688. The size of the city has grown manifold, going with the increase in population. The ambit of the Chennai Corporation has been constantly increasing.The Corporation is headed by a Mayor who presides over 155 councilors representing a ward. The administration is headed by a Commissioner. He is assisted by three Joint Commissioners and one Deputy Commissioner.

Chennai corporation is facing the daunting task of maintaining the area of nearly 174 sq Kms. It has to take care of building roads, maintaining street lights, garbage cleaning, construction of bridges, maintaining of maternity wards, administration of schools, maintenance of parks and play fields.

Chennai Corporation is trying its best to address all the maintenance issues faced by the residents of Chennai. But due to lack of communication there may be some grievances to be addressed. But with the advent of internet, Chennai corporation is utilising the internet to reach the people to function effectively.

One such facility available online is submitting of grievance online. If you have any complaint you can bring it to the notice of the Corporation authorities by submitting the complaint online. In the next screen, choose the options given (i.e. Register complaints via internet)(click on the image to get an enlarged view)



Provide all the details required in the Registration of the Complaint form. Then click submit complaint at the end.(click on the image to get an enlarged view)



You will be returned with a computer generated complaint number. You can use this number to check the status of your complaint in the second screen shown above.
