Earlier in the post , ISD CODES ONLINE we had seen how to view ISD codes online. Likewise BSNL has also a STD search online. STD or Subscriber Trunk Dialling is used to make trunk calls without operators assistance. When you speak to persons within your country over phone you will have to prefix a number to the telephone number. This is a called a STD code which is unique for the place of the person to whom you wish to speak to. To know the STD codes of various places go to http://www.bsnl.co.in/stdsearch.php (click on the image to get an enlarged view)
Type the name of the place and click search you will get the code or if you know the code vaguely and cannot remember the code exactly, then choose city code button and type few digits of the code and then click search you will get the names of all the places starting with the search code entered. Also you can view all the STD codes statewise.
